God's Difficult Will - Matthew 26:36-46

Hello friends! Since the people of Good Shepherd cannot gather as a church for public worship this Sunday, we have prepared some things to help you worship at home, either by yourself or with others. I encourage you to set aside one hour to devote to the Lord without interruption if you can. There is a Worship Guide that you can print or view electronically. Also, Jake and I created videos to lead you in some of the worship:

When you open the Worship Guide, you'll find:

1. A Call To Worship for you to read
2. A song for you to sing ("It Is Well With My Soul”) with or without music. I tried to choose songs with familiar tunes that you can sing without music. I'm sure you can find a version to listen to online if you'd like.
3. Psalm 121 (which Jake reads in his video)
4. Proclaiming Our Faith with the Shorter Catechism Q&A 57-66 (which Jake leads)
5. After that, in my video, I lead the Pastoral Prayer, read the sermon passage, and preach from Matthew 26:36-46.
6. Then another song to sing (Psalm 13, sung to the tune of "The Church's One Foundation")
7. And the closing of worship with a Benediction for you to read.

This way, you can sit down for worship when you are ready on Sunday morning and meet with the Lord. I would encourage you to click the links and figure out how things work, and if you have any questions, please contact me.

Also, if you are leading others (like your family), take a few minutes to get familiar with the order of worship so you can lead it stress-free (take it from someone who knows)! It will probably help if you print copies of the Worship Guide for everyone in your home. Please feel free to forward this to family and friends. God bless you!
